Responsibilities of MA Executive Officers

The Chair of this Student Chapter shall:
- preside at all meetings.
- Works closely with the faculty advisor to ensure ongoing communication
- direct and promote the chapter mission as a whole.
- initiate and promote new events and programs for wide visibility of chapter mission.
- assume all executive duties not otherwise delegated to others by chapter bylaws.

The Vice-Chair shall
- preside at chapter meetings or events in the absence of the Chair.
- assist and support the chapter mission by serving as an active initiator of events,   
planning and conduction.
- oversee the performance of executive officers and provide help as and when  
necessary

The Secretary shall:
- keep records of each meeting for the permanent chapter records.
- also be responsible for submitting brief reports of all activities for publication by ASM, TMS, ACerS and AIST.
- forward an Annual Report, prepared by the Executive Committee, to ASM Headquarters before June 1 of each year, summarizing the activities of the Chapter during the preceding year and listing the newly elected officers for the following year.

The Treasurer shall:
- submit a Financial Report to the Chapter Executive Committee giving a complete  
accounting of the Chapter's finances. This report shall be appended to the Annual  
Report.
- keep the executive committee updated about available budgets and expenses to be  
taken care of.

The Publicity Coordinator shall:
- assume duties of publicizing the events and coordinating the events to completion.
- also engage in advertising the benefits of ASM, TMS, ACerS and AIST student   
membership in the parent university.
- help recruiting new Material Advantage members.

The Events Organizer shall:
- present chapter promoting events to committee and organize them to completion.
- analyze and carefully detail the finer points of events
- estimate expenses in conjunction with Treasurer
